Join us for our MMBA's first In-Person Chapter Meeting of 2024, West Meets Mid-Michigan!
Event Description:
As medical billing continues to transfer more of its manual practices into automated systems the current billers and coders will have to learn how to use those systems. Our goal for this meeting is to introduce AI by defining what AI is in medical billing. Most would say AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. However, those working in this field would rephrase artificial intelligence as Automated Integration.
Automated Integration has been in the background of medical billing for many years. It has begun to work its way into the foreground. Learning about the capabilities of automated systems will enable users to improve workflow. We will discuss how biller and coders are using integrated systems and the possibilities of upgraded systems.
Implementation of automated systems does not eliminate billers and coders. Billers and coders will become specialist. The need of specialists will be the driving force behind the automated systems.
