Improving Coder and Physician Communication
SPEAKERS: Julie Hardy, Leading Consultant for Physician Services and Jennifer Ishmael, Support Specialist for the Data Integrity and Compliance Department
Do you struggle with how to communicate with the provider when it comes to the documentation? Let’s figure this out. Attendees will take a survey to help deepen their understanding of their personality type and will learn more about physician personalities to help improve communication. Attendees will leave with different strategies and tactics to approach physicians with difficult conversations, specifically related to coding and billing. Julie and Jennifer will provide practical examples of how to portray coding and billing information to physicians in a succinct manner that’s proven to be successful.
BCBS Provider Updates
SPEAKERS: Candice McCoy, Provider Relations Consultant and April Boyce, CPC, Team Leader Risk Team
BCBS and BCN will be speaking on 2018 CPT Updates, the New Provider Service Model, eviCore and prior authorization, e-Referral, Behavioral Health, and Provider Enrollment and Provider Inquiry. With these updates you will be able to understand the new changes that are in effect.
This program has the prior approval of AAPC for 3 continuing education hours. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by AAPC of the program content or the program sponsor.
Members are free. Non-Member fee is $50.00. Non-Member fees are non-refundable. Members may be subject to a $15 cancellation/no show fee if you do not cancel your reservation at (855) 360-3401, 48 hours before the event.
